Four Lakes Trail
D'Arcy McLeish

Squamish is home to some great walks and hikes. Whether on snowshoes or just a good pair of winter boots, there are multiple trail networks to wet your winter hiking appetite. The Four Lakes Trail is one of our favourite spots for an afternoon hike in the snow and offers up an easy network of trails suited to boots, snowshoes or paws.

Located just north of Squamish on Highway 99 in Alice Lake Provincial Park, the Four Lakes Trail meanders through thick coastal forest around four distinct lakes. There are options for short and long loops here, with viewpoints of Mt Garibaldi and the surrounding peaks dotted along the trails. The Four Lakes Trail is a perfect place for a crisp walk in the woods with friends and family. Be sure to bring a thermos and some snacks.

Getting There

The Four Lakes Trail is located in Alice Lake Provincial Park, 13km north of Squamish on Highway 99.
