The Ultimate Squamish Summer Bucket List
The days are long and the temperatures are rising- summer is almost here! There's something about summer that captures hearts and immortalizes Squamish as the place to be for outdoor enthusiasts.
With summer upon us, here's the ultimate Squamish summer bucket list so you can maximize every minute of sunshine when the time comes.
1. Climb the Squamish Via Ferrata
A Via Ferrata is a vertical adventure, assisted by metal rungs that help users scale their way up cliffs without the arm pumping techniques of rock climbing. Along your journey, you will traverse a catwalk, cross bridges, and ascend up glacier-worn granite.
The Squamish Via Ferrata is located above the Sea to Sky Gondola and is managed by Mountain Skills Academy.
2. Walk Across the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge
Hey everyone, @adventureconwards here! Super excited to be taking over for the next few days as our @tothmedia team explores around Squamish. All of the squad members are tagged in the photo! PC: @tothmedia #explorebc #exploresquamish A post shared by Tourism Squamish (@tourismsquamish) on
Few things are more exhilarating than walking 100 metres across an abyss that falls away thousands of feet below you. Are you bold enough to cross the Sea to Sky Gondola's Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge? The intense feeling of exposure and amazing 360-degree Squamish views may just take your breath away.
3. Explore the Howe Sound Fjord on a Sea Kayak or SUP

Lined with steep granite mountains covered in lush rainforest, if you think the drive up the Sea to Sky is astounding, imagine the views paddling up the centre of the fjord.
SUP tours, courses and instruction are available from Squamish Watersports or Norm Hann Expeditions.
4. Go With the Flow on Squamish's White Water
Embark on the journey of a lifetime rafting down white-capped rapids, beside cascading waterfalls, and alongside the pristine granite cliffs of the Elaho river. For those seeking a calmer rafting experience, the Cheakamus river offers the similar views, but a more mellow ride.
Rafting is available through Canadian Outback Rafting Company
5. Circle Around the Squamish Craft Tasting Trail
The @tothmedia squad had such a blast visiting @backcountrybrewing tons of great food, friendly people and the best beer! #explorebc #exploresquamish A post shared by Tourism Squamish (@tourismsquamish) on
No adventure to Squamish is complete without a healthy dose of aprés. With three fantastic breweries, one craft distillery, and two craft cideries, a trip around the Squamish Craft Tasting Trail is undoubtedly a full day affair. Pick up your trail map at the Squamish Adventure Centre and collect stamps to win prizes!
