Father's Day Activities in Squamish

Whether it's his first or his fiftieth Father's Day, you can show Dad you care by spending the day with him on Sunday, June 20th. We asked around and made a list of all the best Father's Day activities. From whitewater rafting to golf, here is our list of top Father's Day activities– we promise he will enjoy these more than a necktie!

1. Challenge Your Skills at Rope Runner Aerial Adventure Park

Take Dad on the adventure of a lifetime where you can both "run the ropes" and ascend rope ladders, balance bridges and tottering elements that will put a smile on both of your faces.

2. Go Fishing

Squamish has a variety of fishing areas that will get you and your Dad hooked in no time. Peruse through the local spots here or book a day out with a guide. Trout Fishing Guides and Valley Fishing Guides both have expert guides who will make your day extraordinary.

3. Go Whitewater Rafting

Splash around in Squamish's whitewater rivers where families can opt for a more relaxed trip on the Cheakamus River or an exhilarating adventure on the Elaho-Squamish River with Canadian Outback Rafting or Squamish Rafting Company.

4. Hit the Links

Take Dad out for a round on one of Squamish’s two golf courses. Squamish Valley Golf & Country Club or Furry Creek Golf & Country Club are both open, advance bookings required. Book early so you don't miss out!

5. Sample Squamish's Watersports

Hit Howe Sound this Father's day and experience the water while kite surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing. Check out Aerial Kiteboarding and Norm Hann Expeditions for the ultimate in water sport activities, lessons and guided tours.

6. Take Dad Mountain Biking

Take Dad to Corsa Cycles to pick out some new bike gear then head over to the Garibaldi / Diamond Head zone for some time on two wheels. Don’t miss our signature machine built trail Half Nelson, a local's favourite well suited for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders!

7. Take a Flight Above Squamish

Take Dad on a memorable heli or flightseeing trip above Squamish. The incredible views will give you lasting memories of a special day.

8. Try a Family Sailing Tour

Take the whole family and sail through North America's southernmost fjord. Each sailboat can accommodate 10-12 passengers, so you can choose an intimate setting or bring the entire family to enjoy the day together.

9. Treat Dad to Dinner

Take Dad to one of Squamish's many eateries for a special Father's Day meal. He'll love the Copper Coil Still & Grill and their menu of burgers and BBQ, plus an excellent variety of brews.

10. Head Up High

A visit to the newly reopened (as of June 11th) Sea to Sky Gondola will make for a special outing. Take a hike up at the top or grab something to eat and a cool beverage to enjoy while you drink in the amazing view.

11. Take an Afternoon Hike

Trail time is quality time, making it a great way to catch up on all the little things in life that are worth sharing. You can view a list of recommended trails here. Cardio crushers may enjoy the first peak of the Stawamus Chief.
