Everything Kid-Approved at the Sea to Sky Gondola

This Spring Break, plan a family visit to the Sea to Sky Gondola where outdoor adventure and kid-tastic fun is just a 10-minute gondola ride away. Winter activities are available throughout March and include tubing, snowshoeing, winter walks across the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge, and so much more.

Featured Winter Kid's Activities

Tube Park

It's no secret that kids love tubing, and the tube park at the Sea to Sky Gondola is no exception. Rent your very own bright red snow tube and spend an afternoon sliding downhill as fast as you can. Families can tube together in groups of two to four or slide down solo. There is also a tube park viewing deck, which is an excellent spot to snap some photos.

Snowshoeing

Wander around the many snow-laden trails and soak in the mountain and ocean views all around you. Kids can build snow sculptures, make snow angels and play to their heart's content. Be sure to bring your own snowshoes or rent a pair at the Summit to hike the Panorama Trail to the stunning Chief Viewing Platform

Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge

The Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge is approximately 100 metres long and has a backdrop that falls hundreds of metres below your feet. Kids love the bouncing sensation as the bridge moves ever so slightly as you walk across its length. Rest assured, the stroller-friendly bridge is wide enough for others to pass if you'd like to stop and take a family photo along the way. From the centre, the view of Sky Pilot Mountain will dominate the skyline, and the view of Howe Sound to the west completes the perfect Sea to Sky view.

Kid's Dining

From basecamp to Summit, there are plenty of kid-approved dining choices at the Sea to Sky Gondola. The Basecamp Cafe and elevated Co-Pilot Cafe (located at the Summit) offer a plethora of warm beverage and pastry options for the whole family. For a hearty meal, you can take your pick of the Sky Pilot Eatery or Bodhi's Smokehouse. The Sky Pilot Eatery, located inside the Summit Lodge, offers a brand new menu full of delicious burgers, hearty soups and classic kid favourites from poutine to chocolate fondue. You can find Bodhi's Smokehouse in the Gondola's "Backyard" behind the Summit Lodge. It is known for mouth-watering sides, smoked meats and smores kits, complete with a mini fire to cook your own marshmallows!
