Squamish Easy Going: Itinerary for Chill Travellers
While Squamish is better known for its active adventure sports, there are so many other ways to experience the great outdoors, here's how!
Day 1
Start your trip with a visit to Britannia Mine Museum with your bubble and dig deep into history as you take a tour or a historical copper mine. Next head on an e-bike eco-tour with Blazing Saddles Adventures. As long as you know how to ride a bike, you are all set, the comfortable e-bikes are easy to use and make riding effortless so you can explore the Squamish trails without breaking a sweat! During the tour, you will check out the Squamish Estuary, Newport Beach and take in Squamish's best local landmarks before finishing near the Squamish Town Hub where you can stop for coffee at Cloudburst Cafe or opt for a real-fruit ice cream cone from Alice & Brohm. Grab dinner at nearby Pepe's Chophouse + Seafood before checking into your mountainside hotel, Executive Suites Hotel & Resort, where you can soak in the hot tub before drifting off to sleep.
Day 2
Go for breakfast at Noshy Cafe where you can pick up delicious baked goods and colourful donuts to snack on throughout the day. After you've fuelled up, take to the skies and fly over Garibaldi Provincial Park on a flightseeing tour with Sea to Sky Air or a heli-seeing tour with Blackcomb Helicopters or Black Tusk Helicopters to check out iconic views of Garibaldi Lake and Black Tusk.
Once you land on the ground, visit downtown Squamish for a delicious lunch at The Copper Coil Still & Grill's recently expanded patio and tour the shops along Cleveland Avenue. Sunflower Bakery is a must-visit if you need a mid-afternoon caffeine jolt, and Valhalla Pure Outfitters is a great shop for summer clothes or a sun hat to keep you cool for the rest of the day.
Catch the sunset aboard a sailboat with Canadian Coastal and enjoy the evening breeze as you glide across Howe Sound. Private charters can sail to Britannia Beach for an extended tour of the fjord, or turn around earlier for a standard 3-hour tour. After your exciting day, why not order dinner to-go from Executive Suite's onsite restaurant Free Bird. In your room, you can dine on the mountain-view patio or at the cozy dining table as you unwind before bed.
Day 3
Check out of your hotel and visit Fergie's Cafe for a delicious brunch on their second-story patio. After breakfast, park your car at the end of Spit Road and head on a short walk at the Squamish Estuary to take in views of the Stawamus Chief from across the valley. After your walk, rest on the viewing bleachers and watch as dozens of kitesurfers play on the water. Grab lunch at Geo Cider before heading back home.
