Eagles By Walking Tour
Sometimes, slowing down and taking the time to soak in your surroundings is the best way to appreciate nature in all its glory. With over 1,300 eagles that winter in Squamish annually, it is truly spectacular to view them in their natural habitat.
Stroll along the Squamish River with the beautiful forest and mountains of Brackendale Eagles Provincial Park as the backdrop to learn about these magnificent raptors. Discover more about Squamish's eagles on th BC Bird Trail here.
Useful information
The best time to see the eagles is during the wintering season- typically from November to January
At this time there are no official private tours available. We recommend heading down to the Brackendale dyke to check out the interpretive signage at the Observation Shelter at Eagle Run Vista Viewpoint. Often there are volunteers from Squamish Eagle Watch present in the area, and they are happy to discuss their knowledge with visitors.
