2019 Canadian National Championships in Freestyle Kiteboarding

Held at the world-renowned Squamish Spit, KiteClash 7 is Canada’s largest kiteboarding competition. With more than 70 athletes, KiteClash attracts some of the biggest names in the sport. The 2019 event will take place from August 22 - 25. 

Riders compete in a variety of disciplines including freestyle, big air and more. Winning riders will be crowned in each event, with the Canadian freestyle winner being crowned as Canadian champion.

Thursday, August 22

  • On-site Registration open at 9 AM-10:30 AM.
  • Amateur and Junior events
  • Event start approximately 11:30 AM (may vary with wind conditions).
  • Categories include Mens, Womens, Masters (over 35), Juniors (under 18).

Friday, August 23

  • On-site Registration open at 9 AM-10:30 AM,
  • Canadian Freestyle Championships
  • Event start approximately 11:30 AM (may vary with wind conditions).
  • Categories include Mens, Womens, Juniors (under 18).
  • Twintip racing

Saturday, August 24

  • On-site registration open from 9 AM-10:30 AM,
  • International Freestyle
  • Event starts approximately 11:30 AM (may vary with wind conditions).
  • Categories include Mens, Womens, Juniors (under 18).
  • Big Air
  • Event starts approximately 3 PM (may vary with wind conditions).
  • Categories include Open Mens, Open Womens.

Sunday, Aug. 25

Parking and Shuttle Information

The Backcountry – KiteClash shuttle van will run between Backcountry Brewing and the spit all day Friday - Sunday (11am-6pm) with pick up at Backcountry Brewing on the half-hour. Parking is available Backcountry Brewing.
