Friends of Cheakamus First Sunday: Maple Tapping Workshop
Join in for a fun day of hands-on learning about the process of tapping maples and making maple syrup. Few people realize that syrup can be made from the sap of the Bigleaf maple trees that grow in our own backyard. Executive Chef Wade Rowland will give an informative talk on the process, and then lead an interactive outdoor demonstration of how to tap.
This is a family-friendly "Friends of Cheakamus" event that will take place rain or shine. Please dress for the weather with appropriate footwear for walking outside on slightly uneven ground.
