The Squamish ArtWalk is a celebration of visual art and artists in Squamish

This October, ArtWalk invites the community to celebrate creativity through FIVE exciting elements designed to showcase local talent and bring people closer to the arts. From open artist studios to hands-on workshops, artist conversations, a guided tour of Downtown Squamish’s murals, and an Anonymous Art Show, ArtWalk offers a variety of opportunities for the community to get involved.

Highlights of ArtWalk 2026 include:

Free Arts Workshops:
Hands-on and inspiring, these free community workshops invite participants of all skill levels to explore new techniques and creative practices. Workshops are offered on a first-come, first-served basis—no previous experience required. Registration opens Thursday, October 8.

Open Studios (October 17) & Art Hub (Oct 17 &18):
Step inside the creative spaces of local artists, explore works-in-progress, and gain a behind-the-scenes look at the process of making art. This self-guided tour is a rare chance to meet artists where they work and discover new perspectives in your own community. The Squamish Adventure Centre will act as a hub for artists who don’t have studios but who want to share their work and processes with the curious public. Make the Squamish Adventure Centre your start or end point when heading out to check out artist studios!

NEW THIS YEAR: a free shuttle will take 24 passengers on a tour of the artist studios. Departing from outside the Squamish Adventure Centre Saturday, October 17 at 12:00 pm (until 2:00 pm approximately). Please register in advance to secure a spot.  

Guided Mural Walk Tour: Join Zoe Linford for a guided tour of downtown Squamish’s unique and spectacular murals, an initiative of Downtown Squamish’s annual Mural Walk Festival! Learn the stories behind select works of public art to add to your knowledge of all things Squamish. Departing from the steps at the Squamish Adventure Centre, Sunday, October 18, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. Register in advance to let us know you’re coming, or drop in.

ArtTalks:
Conversations with Artists Ranging, on-stage conversations with artists about their work. These lively talks will create a space for meaningful exchange between creators and audiences, deepening our collective understanding of art and its role in our lives and community. October 18, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Squamish Adventure Centre Theatre. Free to attend. Register in advance to secure your spot. 

Anonymous Art Show:
Anyone can participate! A playful twist on traditional exhibitions, the Anonymous Art Show will feature work by local artists (emerging and established) displayed without names attached. Throughout October, artists will create something wonderful on a limited number of unique cedar rounds to be displayed at the Brackendale Art Gallery. Join us for the Opening Reception and buying night at the BAG on  Tuesday, November 3, 7-9 pm.
