Open Mic Showcase Performers:
Evan Beatty
Raised in Prince Edward Island, Evan has called Squamish his home for the last seven years. Like many people who venture to Squamish to seek mountain activities, you might call Evan a professional dabbler of the sort. Music was his first dabbling love though, many years ago, and is still a core expression of who he is today. Random Evan fact: Evan smashed his first acoustic guitar at the age of 8, thinking it would grant him legendary rock'n'roll magical abilities like The Who and Hendrix, surprisingly it did not work.
CD Nkunze
CD Nkunze plays the inanga folk instrument and plucks the strings gently while singing softly and whispering spoken words creating an unusual sound that carries stories, poetry and songs.
Max Munits
Inspired by classic psychedelic rock, folk and roots, Max brings a mix of fingerstyle guitar covers and originals for your listening pleasure.
Natasha Beaulac
Natasha’s love for music started with classical piano as a child and grew quickly when she discovered the saxophone in her early teens, diving into jazz as a full-on band geek throughout high school. At the same time, she picked up guitar to support her singing, bringing in rock influences as she began shaping her own sound. For the past two years, she has played tenor saxophone with Bluesberry Jam Showband. Outside of her work with the band, Natasha is now getting ready to release her original music on streaming platforms.
Milkman
Born in a ratty wood shop, Milkman is a mediocre quartet specialized in keeping the neighbors awake with "good enough" dissonance. Sam sings and charms, Joey doodles on the pentatonic scale, and Jaron tries not to drum too loud. Bassist Gonzalo rounds them out—assuming he’s not on Chilean time and missing soundcheck.
DREA
Drea is a spoken word artist using 2026 to pull the spokenword from her mouth and lay it flat on the page. She usually shys away from form, structure, and grammar because emotion is often easier to convey through passion than parables. She knows that her passion can often read as anger, and she’s deciding to be okay with that because that passion has the power to fuel change. You can often catch her organizing community events in Squamish including Queergasm, your local Queer smut storytelling evening.
