The Arc’teryx Climb Academy is back in Squamish August 21-23, 2026

Framed by the iconic granite walls and lush forests of Squamish, the Academy brings together climbers and trail runners for three unforgettable days of education, inspiration and connection. With athlete‑led clinics, film premieres, live music, and experiences for every ability, it’s the perfect place to sharpen skills, connect with others, and immerse yourself in the spirit of adventure.

Although our clinics are now fully sold out, there’s plenty of ways to enjoy the event.

Daytime Programming

Discover the energy of the Academy beyond the clinics. Explore a vibrant Vendor Village featuring more than 20 leading outdoor brands and community partners, catch 10+ free or low-cost seminars led by world-class athletes and industry experts, and check out it out each afternoon for the free Academy Happy Hour—a chance to connect with the climbing community.

Whether you're testing your power on the Hive Dyno Wall, cheering on competitors during the legendary Hive Dyno Competition, or wandering through Pavilion Park, there's something happening all weekend long.

Best of all, the majority of Academy programming is free and open to the public, making it easy for everyone to experience the spirit of climbing in the heart of Squamish.

Evening Programming

As the climbing day winds down, the Academy comes together for an inspiring evening of stories, films, and conversation. Hear from some of climbing's most influential voices as they share personal experiences of progression, perseverance, and the moments that have shaped their journeys.

Teeth to The Wind Exclusive Film Screening – August 19
Doors 7:30PM, screening starts: 8:00 PM at Routes Capilano University, Squamish

Before Michael Gardner's death in Nepal in 2024, he and his climbing partner Sam Hennessey had started a film project about their friendship. Remarkable alpinists, but reluctant filmmakers, Teeth to the Wind realizes Michael and Sam's original vision: a joyful and unassuming glimpse at what they referred to as "the spirit”.

This screening is free to attend and open to everyone. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis, and capacity inside the venue is limited. If the space fills up, you're welcome to join us outside, where the film will also be shown on an additional screen.

The weekend also includes a special keynote from legendary Canadian climber Jim Sandford, reflecting on a lifetime of pioneering ascents and the evolution of climbing in Squamish and beyond.

Squamish Exposed – August 22 at Pavilion Park
