British Columbia's BMX season reaches its finish line in Squamish.

The Squamish BMX Racing Club is hosting the 2026 BC BMX Provincial Finals on September 5 and 6 at the Squamish BMX Track on Loggers Lane. Saturday runs BC Provincial #12, the last points round of the season. Sunday brings the Finals, with year-end awards, number plates, and special awards for podium and main event finishers.

The club earned the right to host by winning the BMX Canada Track Operator Championship last season. That followed several years of work on the facility: a full rebuild of the track, a resurfacing for near-all-weather riding, and paved corners with support from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation. The Finals close a season that also brought the Sea to Sky Nationals to the same track in June.

Racing is open to every level, from Half-Track balance bike riders through, Novice, Intermediate, Expert, and ProAm classes. Saturday features the Zero2Hero Final, racing for a large cash purse, and Sunday features the BC BMX Junior Devo Final for riders aged 14 to 16. Saturday racing starts at 1:00 pm and Sunday racing starts at 10:00 am. A double point race on Friday, September 4 opens the weekend.

Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) member, educator and cultural leader Tsawaysia Spukwus (Alice Guss) will open the Finals event with a welcome on Sunday morning.

Riders can register online at squamishbmx.com or at the track on both days. A valid BMX Canada licence is required and can be purchased at registration.

Spectators are welcome free of charge. An on-site concession will be open through the weekend; parking at the venue is limited, and carpooling is encouraged.
