How to get to Squamish without the use of a car
No car? Traveling from Vancouver to Squamish sans wheels is easier than you think. Here are a few options that will help you get here just in time for the Squamish Beer Festival. After all, driving is always more fun when you don't have to do it yourself.
Squamish Beer Festival Shuttle:
Shuttle service has been organized for those attending the second annual Squamish Beer Festival on Saturday July 9. The shuttle departs from Olympic Village Skytrain Station at 1:00pm sharp, departing from the event at 8:00pm.
Cost: $20. Tickets available online here.
This option may be pricey, but it’s the best bet if you’re looking for flexibility (or if you missed an earlier ride). The Perimeter bus departs from Downtown Vancouver at 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., arriving at the Squamish Adventure Centre
Cost: $55/$110 return. Reservations are required.
Greyhound is your best bet if you’re an early riser on a budget. The bus departs from Vancouver at 7:30 a.m. and costs only $18.30, $12.80 if you book online.
Sea to Sky Gondola Shuttle Bus:
Serviced by the 24-seat Squamish Connector, roundtrip shuttle service is available from Downtown Vancouver to the Sea to Sky Gondola. The shuttle departs from the Hyatt in Downtown Vancouver at 9:30 a.m., Library Square at 9:45 a.m. and Canada Place at 10 a.m. arriving at the Sea to Sky Gondola Basecamp at 11 a.m.
Cost: $69/round trip or $30 for pass holders. Advance booking here is required.
