Weekly Winter Adventures - Beer Tasting & Pub Eating

Photo: Howe Sound Brewing

One of the best things after a day of outdoor pursuits is an ice cold beer. But even better is an ice cold, locally brewed beer and Squamish is home to one the best micro breweries in the lower mainland. Howe Sound Brewing is right downtown and offers beer tasting, brewery tours and some of the best pub food in the Sea to Sky Corridor.

From their hardy Diamond Head Stout to their Sky Pilot Northwest Pale Ale to the hugely popular Whitecap Wheat Ale, Howe Sound has a brew for every fancy. Brewery tours are run every day at 1pm but call ahead ‘cause they get busy.

The Howe Sound Pub is a true local’s favourite in Squamish and it’s not uncommon to see the who’s who of professional climbing and mountain biking unwinding after a day in the mountains. So pop in for a pint and a meal and say hello.

Getting There

Located on Cleveland Avenue in downtown Squamish, the Howe Sound Brewing Company is right in the heart of Squamish. Just head west on Cleveland right off Highway 99 and it’s a hop skip and jump away.
