West Coast Railway Heritage Park
Home of the world-famous Royal Hudson steam locomotive, the West Coast Railway Heritage Park houses the largest collection of railway rolling stock in Western Canada. Here, you’ll find more than 90 pieces of heritage railway cars and artifacts, the oldest of which are the British Columbia business car (1890) and a rare Canadian Pacific Colonist sleeping car (1905). Full steam ahead.
The 12-acre site, which represents a typical mid-20th century railway facility and town centre, features a 3km Miniature Railway, cabooses and locomotives, historical equipment at varying stages of restoration, and the only authentic Railway Post Office car in Canada. The venue is open to the public year-round and hosts several popular events including the Dinosaur Train, Day Out With Thomas and the seasonal favourite The Polar Express.
Open daily from 10am-5pm.
