Head 20km south of Squamish to Porteau Cove, a popular spot for daytripping, camping and ocean play. If you’re embarking on your first ocean kayaking adventure, this is a great place to start. But be warned: just one gentle paddle along the shoreline and you might just never want to leave. Other notable spots in the area are Anvil Island, Christie Inlet, Pam Rocks and Gambier Island, each of which are best-suited to the intermediate to advanced paddler.
